In which issues concerning the profession of philosophy are bitched about
The APA is still a big, fat, giant, smelly, hot seething pile of shiznit.
Dear APA Members,It is clear that we need to make some clarification of the status of the APA website. First, we do not expect that the APA website will be down in the immediate future. Our current web hosting contract expires on October 10. We are working with the current host to continue hosting in a manner that will allow a seamless transition to a new web-hosting firm over the next month. However, the transition will be affecting the online payment features. The links from our site to our internal system will need to be reestablished. Those features will only be disabled for a very short period of time AND NO LONGER THEN 5-7 days! Clearly we are trying to avoid any change that would affect the availability of JFP online. At the same time, we are working hard to protect our members’ interests in the unlikely event that our current web host is unwilling to work with us through this transition. The JFP will be posted at the very beginning of the business day on Friday, October 9. It should thus be available to all members at that time. We certainly wish to apologize for any confusion or anxiety that may have arisen as a result of our first announcement.
